Kia ora koutou,

As winter wraps Te Awamutu in its chill, we’re cherishing cozy moments at Kakahu Outfitters. Last week, we welcomed a new baby—a precious addition who’s brought extra joy to our whānau. With the heater on and our toddler keeping things lively, Graham and Juanita are soaking up these family days during the coldest part of the year.

Our mahi is thriving! Our talented seamstress, Ms. A, has been hard at work on a stunning order of Kapa Haka uniforms for a South Auckland kura. We’re excited to have caught up with our workload, thanks to her dedication. Each stitch showcases our commitment to quality and cultural pride, ensuring performers shine on stage.

Juanita’s been balancing motherhood and creativity, working on quotes and designs between feeding our newborn. She’s eager to dive back into design work and welcomes enquiries for custom Kapa Haka uniforms or other projects. If you have a vision for your next performance or event, reach out—she’s ready to bring it to life with her creative flair.

Our embroidery and printing side is going strong as winter sets in. We’ve been busy stitching hoodies and jackets, perfect for keeping warm in true Kiwi style. From bold logos to intricate designs, we’re pouring our craftsmanship into every piece.

We’ve also upgraded our work car to meet the growing needs of our family and business—a small change that keeps our mahi moving forward

Thank you for supporting our NZ-made journey. Whether you’re a school, kapa haka group, or local seeking custom embroidery, we’re here to create something special. Contact Juanita to discuss your next project.

Ngā mihi, Graham, Juanita, and the Kakahu Outfitters Whānau
